Today was a very long day. Was finally trained on cash today, and I know I spent most of my day looking like a frightened woodland creature who has been cornered by a wolf. But to tell the truth, I kinda like working on cash, it seems to be less demanding. Except I refuse to be on that corner till ever, ever again. When you are on the corner till you are the first peson anyone sees, and therefore they all want to come and talk to you. Was doing refunds and everything, go me. At one point Connie and Christine were talking about training me as a front end supervisior. Part of me was all proud, the other part of me was like, Noooooo, don't promote me, don't give a raise because if you do I will get even more complacent will never leave.

And when I get home, what is all over my friend's list? Billy singing swing. excuse me while I swoon. I wanna marry that man and have his beautiful green eyed babies.

Watched Once Upon a Time in Mexico last night, enjoyed it immensley. Robert Rodriguz/Antonio Banderas/Johnny Depp= my new OT3.

Not much else to say really. I think I am going to go to bed early tonight, seeing as I was up waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy to late last night (or this morning, depending on your pov.)

*loves on the lot of you, just because*

Today was a very long day and I am very glad it is over. work sucked ass but is that really news to any of you?

Watched Lost In Translation this afternoon before work. Enjoyed it immensely. If you havn't seen it yet, go run out and rent it.

Alright, I'm going to make some popcorn, and settle in to watch Once Upon a Time in Mexico, then at some point I have to get to sleep because I have to be at work at 10 tomorrow morning.

Hope everyone's weekend is going well.

So compy is still not fixed. And this time I have a good reason. Its not just because I'm lazy :) Going to install Windows98 tonight. I have someone who is making me a copy of the disk. Shhh, don't say anything. Am very excited seeing as I am still running Windows95. I am hoping that this will make things better, because it is getting harder not to want to cause her physical harm.

Went to dinner with my friend Luiz yesterday. He gifted me with copies of The Red Shoes, The Sensual World (which I love sooooo much) and The Kick Inside. So I am on a bit of a Kate Bush kick at the moment. *does happy Anys cat dance* Makes up for all the crap I have been dealing with lately.

I should run though, there are things I need to do today. But on the upside, it was -7 when I got up this morning. Thank God! I was getting fustrated with all this winter-ness.

So I have spent the past couple of hours working on my new scarf. It is quite lovely. Bernat came out with this yarn called Boa, and it is kinda fluffy and sorta looks like feathers. Not only does it make neat looking tassels, it looks really nice when you crochet with it. and it comes in great colours. I am using Phoenix which is orange-red-rust. It looks so firey, I just love it.

I am thinking of making one out of Peacock, a nice blue-green, for a certain person on my friends list, who's birthday is coming soon and has a thing for scarves. Also thinking of making one out of Parrot , an amazing purple-red combination, for her sister. I wish I had time and money to make one for everyone on my flist. They are just so fluffy and soft and wonderful that everyone should have one.

Next scarf I want to make is a Harry Potter one. Just one question, does anyone know what the colours are for Ravenclaw?

There is something about crocheting that makes me think I'm in a Jane Austen novel, don't ask me why. There is something so old and historic about it I guess. And as much as I would want to be Elizabeth Bennet, I know deep down I'm more like Jane at best, Kitty at worst.

So I had a bit of a meltdown this afternoon. Went to try and rtrive something off of one of my disks and it wouldn't let me. I scanned and what not, only to have it tell me that the disk is damaged.

This just happens to be the disk on which I had saved a very intense scene between [info]dommie_boy and [info]scothobbit because I was simply to tired to post it last night. Now I am wishing I had. I have my fingers crossed that Winter's friend might be able to help me get it back, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

[info]poopiesquish we may have to do the whole thing again.

In other news, it is warming up. It is now only -33 with the windchill. But I still have to go to work tonight. Yech.

I am so very, very tired. Have done next to nothing for the second day in a row, since it is too bloody cold to go outside. -42 with the windchill, what the hell happened to our chinook? Can someone tell me?

I actually did go out breifly this afternoon. I got this craving for chocolate that I couldn't shake, so I bundled up and walked to the store down the hill. I was gone for about 10 minutes, and by the time I got home, my eyelashes were freezing together, and because of the cold my eyes were watering and the tears were freezing on my cheeks. Not fun let me tell you. Blech.

Been trying to clean my hardrive off, uploading files and crap to the internet so I can reformat my hard rive. Spent about two hours fighting with geocities this afternoon and still only managed to upload 5 files. Grr *kicks yahoo*

On the upside, I got myself a photobucket account for the last of my pictures, there is about 400 or so more. I want to have this all done by the end of the week 8crosses finger*

I think I should head off to bed before I fall over. Sleep is good. Sleep, thats where I'm a viking. Someone stop me, you can tell I'm tired when I start quoting The Simpsons

Am very pleased with the outcome of the Golden Globes. I think it is great that Peter Jackson finally is getting the recognition that he so deserves.

Fran Walsh looks nothing like I thought she would and that is okay. She's much cuter then I would have guessed. And seeing her and Peter together makes me all happy.

Elijah actually looked like a grown-up *licks him all over*, and Dom, well is Dom and for that I love him.

Am very pleased.

And in non-Lotr GG squee, Marg Helgenberger *swoon* That dress, that hair, those breasts. *licks her all over*

And has Sean Hayes ever won a GG? If not, then why not? Ditto for Megan Mullally. They make that show.

On a more personal front, I might be getting a snake. Possibly, don't know for sure yet, but we'll see. It will depend on if Jodi moves back down to the States and if I really want a snake. Have to think about it.

One more thing before I run off to bed. Was pleased by this result.

You are 'Lord of the Rings' by Blind Guardian!

Here I am sitting at the public library, trying to get caught up on things. Been cut off from the internet since Monday, and I am suffering from some serious withdrawl. No internet makes this amazon very cranky indeed.

Miss you all lots.

I really hate Sundays when I have to work because I never have enough time to really do anything. Was so busy yesterday and will probably will be today too *twitch*. Can't you tell I'm looking forward to it *twitch more*

Emptied out one of my jewelry boxes yesterday. Found my mood ring, was very excited to find out it still fits. WooHoo!

Well, I should go and get ready for work.

I haven't made a entry for a couple of days and it feels kinda strange. And maybe I should put this behind a cut, but meh, its my journal. Anyways...

For those who are interested, Thursday night went well. Had a really good time, and a second date is looking like a possiblity. His name is Erik and he is really sweet (cute too). He is almost as obsessed with Lotr as I am, which is good. He called me a PHF, and I was suprised he even knew what that meant, but he just laughed. He reads slash but he's more into elves.. He didn't bug me about being terrified of Shelob (which scored him big points, let me tell you). And he let me sob on his shoulder durning Theoden's death scene, which effected me more this time then the other two. So we will see what happens.

Had a sort of revelation yesterday while I was walking to the bank. It sort of all came about thanks to Echo's phone call (which I'm still ticked about). Basically what it comes down to is that I am not nearly as wrapped up in beads anymore and its time I start being creative in other ways, like writing, painting and photography. So I am going to be going through all my beads and jewelry with a very critical eye, seeing what I can get give away and what I can sell. Thinking I might sell some of it on E-bay. Its like I can feel my life changing just by coming to this one realization. And let me tell you, it feels good.

I think I finally have an idea for Litha which I can turn into a decent ritual. All I have to do now is find a celtic myth that will fit. Barring that, one I can make fit. It wouldn't be the first time I've created a myth from nothing. Finding poetry left right and center for it. T'will be much fun. Thinking of using Jig of Life by Kate Bush for the spiral dance.

A bit of Kipling spam before I go, just because it amused me greatly when I read it for the first time,

Oh do not tell the Priest our plight,
Or he would call it a sin;
But - we have been out in the woods all night,
A-counjuring summer in!
And we bring you news by word of mouth-
Good news for cattle and corn-
Now is the Sun come up from the South,
With Oak and Ash and Thorn!

To that, I have no good answer.

Just made myself a cup of tea. And I thought, well its late, and I don't want to make a pot, but I want more then a cup, so me being the smart person I am, decided to make it in one of my pint glasses. Pint glasses don't have handles. *flails* Sing it with me now, "I am so smart, S-M-R-T". It has just been one of those nights.

Since everyone else is doing it, and I am a lemming at heart,

What is the one thing you've always wanted to know about me, but have been too afraid to ask?

Have at it.

Alright, I should go to bed before I fall over.

Night all.

So I just finished reading Momento by [info]shanie. My brain has shorted out and oozed out my ear. It has to my favorite part of the whole Convergence series. Half the time I was wishing I was Dom. Go and read if you haven't already. so very good.

In other news I have a headache and am trying to resist the temptation to have a nap. Because if I sleep now, I'll be up until the wee hours then I'll sleep until noon like I did today. And if I would just stop clenching my jaw I would not have a headache.

I think I am going to have dinner finish cleaning off my desk. How does it manage to get so cluttered so fast? Right, food.

I am feeling very unsettled at the moment. Had this vauge and upsetting dreams. I can't really remember much of them, which is a good thing, but I can't seem to shake the feeling of them. it is not nice, let me tell you. So I am trying to comfort myself with tea, hobbit porn and Metallica.

Have spent the last two or three days listening to Annie Lennox, Alanis Morisette, Sarah Maclachin and India.Arie I figured I needed a change. So I am currently trying to overdose on Metallica. and not just any Metallica, but pre-black album when it was all long hair and power chords. And S&M just for fun.

Woke up the other morning with an idea for a necklace, but I have yet to actually work on it. Mostly because my beads are a disorganized mess and I really don't want to try and organize them right now. Eventually though.

Has anyone else seen this Merry and Pippin?
Oh so pretty.
